In the early years of Sunrise, it was a yearly tradition for church families to go to Turkey Run State Park to celebrate the church, our families and have fun. We would like to re-create that event and enjoy God’s beautiful Creation with a Family Fun Day held on Saturday, August 1st.
Plan to bring your family and participate in some organized activities. We’ll provide hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks. There is no need to bring a food item to contribute. We encourage everyone to arrive by 11:00am, at which time we’ll kick off our first activity! Be sure to wear some comfortable clothes, according to the weather forecast.
Here are some directions to find us: Enter Turkey Run off of State Rd. 47, turning onto Park Rd. After entering the state park, turn to the right, heading toward the swimming pool. You’ll see a large field on your left and your right before arriving at the pool. We’ll be in one of those fields!
